10 Items, 30 Looks… Metalicus

by Pilar

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day!  We had a great turnout to our Tribute to all Mother’s Sale, despite of the confusion about the date. We are happy to have been able to help Carmen Kaufman as we promise we would do.

As you all must have noticed, we have had some changes in our staff. Our lovely Sami left us to finally get the waitressing  job that she was hoping to get and will soon go back to school.  Robyn graduated and is now working on Public Relations and will hopefully be helping us organize our next Fashion Show. Marysol, was too busy with her acting part-time job and is planning on moving to Sweden to continue her studies.  Finding the right staff for this boutique is not easy because I try to find people who can actually not just sell you clothes but style you at no extra cost. Please let me know how the new girls are doing and forgive me if we have to go through a couple of changes until we find THE right people.

I will be away celebrating my 50th birthday (as most of you know, I turned 50 in April) and now is time for the real celebration, I will be travelling with my family to Greece this June.  If any of you have a concern, I will be  available via email and please keep in mind that internet is not always accessible when we travel but I will be reading my emails and responding to them.

Yes, we must be thankful for last week’s amazing weather!  We all got excited and started wearing our sandals and bright-colored fun clothes. I pray for all of us to have a safe and wonderful summer.

West Vancouver is celebrating 100 years! Keep your eyes open for all the celebrations coming up soon!

FITNESS FOR FREE!

I also wanted to let you know that we are thinking about creating a running group. If you are interested it will be free of charge. We can set up days and times in which we meet in front of the store and we just could start by running the seawall together. I know that a lot of people (including myself) don’t know where to start. The idea is that we only need to start by running one minute at a time and slowly increase until we get to run a marathon! I really believe that running together with a good healthy diet is one of the best ways to lose weight and be fit. Please feel free to email me if you have interest in helping me to put this idea together. It could be a way of making new friends, business networking or just getting fit. If you are a personal trainer, this might be a good opportunity for you to meet possible new clients… come join us and help us get fit.  If you are an advanced runner and would like to cooperate, please also send me an email: pilar@pilarsboutique.com

Thanking you always for your support and hoping to see you soon,

Pilar

We believe that it is important for our customers to understand why we carry the lines we carry. There is an immense amount of lines in the market and when we pick our brands we always think on what you would like, who you are, what you like and what makes you look good. We also try to bring versatile, fun, trendy and affordable clothes.

Metalicus Fabric Innovation

Stretch fabrication is at the heart of everything Metalicus creates, so offering its customers the very best in fabric technology is important to Metalicus’ designers.

Cotton – Cotton is one of Metalicus’ most loved fabrications. With its beautiful soft and springy feel, the Metalicus cotton blend is highly versatile, lightweight and easily layered. The breathable, cool feel of cotton makes it perfect for both body-hugging garments and a looser fitting silhouette.

Merina Wool – Metalicus’ wool blend is a unique fabrication that will keep you snug and warm during the cooler seasons. With its sumptuous, luxe feel, Metalicus’ Wool fabric offers a thicker, cosier feel and weight yet is still fine enough to layer without adding bulk to the frame.

Bodytight  – The original and still very much loved Bodytight remains at the core of fabrications at Metalicus. Made from Polymide, Bodytight is affectionately known as the ‘stretchy’ fabric thanks to its two-way stretch capabilities and its ability to mould to every body shape like a second skin.

Seamless  – In 2009 Metalicus introduces Seamless, a more durable, dense fabric that has extended the Metalicus offering to include the complete wardrobe story. Ideal for creating a more sculpted and streamlined figure, Seamless offers a more structured appearance without sacrificing on comfort.
