Colour Trends

This season’s balanced palette has something for everyone. It serves the consumer’s practical side with versatile neutrals and boosts their confident aura with bold, spirited hues.

Titanium is the quintessential cool gray.

Ultramarine Green is a deep blue-green that evokes an air of confidence and liberates the senses.

Olympian Blue is a patriotic blue resembling the American flag.

Honey Gold is a mellow, burnished yellow suggesting the soft muted tones.

Tangerine Tango is a vivacious and juicy orange that has taken over the runways again this season.

Pink Flambé  is a delicious, vibrant pink with a bit of heat to it.

Luxury Red is an intense and daring red and a key colour for this winter. It will carry through until next year…

French Roast is rich and robust. It is a tasty and sophisticated hue that is a great alternative to the classic black and charcoal.

Fashion Trends

Lavish: This season we are indulging in rich influences and collages of exquisite pattern, both gilded and opulent.

Prints to the Max: Prints are pushed to the limit by designers to a level of obsession.

Dark Corner: Fashion has turned a dark corner after seasons of brightly coloured hues reigning the catwalks.

Sculptural Curves: Curve your enthusiasm this season by pointing towards a sexy fetishism. Borrowed from the French “New Look” of the 1940’s, shoulders are sharp and waists are cinched in. This leaves for a rigorous silhouette that exudes the highest level of confidence.

Folk Wear: The palette is crafty and sporty at the same time, playing to both markets by being flexible and playful.

Bouclé Tweed: A new feel for texture is abound this season…

Kaleidoscope: A fun group of colours that are both sporty + quirky. 1970’s colour blocking is all the rage!

Fluff Pieces: What’s the most modern way to wear fur? As an accent piece…

Oriental Ornamental: Luxurious applications and Oriental  braided trims mix beautifully with baroque beading in heavy jewel colours.

Plain Colour: Simple accessories in brights and solid colours are key for this trend; sharp volumes and high tech coloured zips.

Copy Nature: The natural look is in. Motives of landscapes and leaves, closures in savaged gold printed trims, animal patterns…

Geographics: Strong graphic buttons and fine zigzag trims are taken from Northern Europe’s art and design.

Romance: Inspired by the Art Deco period of the 1920’s, eveningwear becomes daywear.

Thank you for the comment Rumina. You are more than welcome to call. I do not think I can find you the Georgio Armani suit because we don’t sell it but I could try. Send me the photo to my email at sales@pilarsboutique.com. Thank you!
